Do you love food and love helping animals?! Consider heading over to Catalan Tapas Bar for "Thursday Fursdays” benefiting us, the Friends of Wake County Animal Center, each Thursday this summer from 11:30 am - 9:30 pm. Grab some food or drinks and tell your server that you are Dining for Doggos and they will donate 5% of your purchase.

The number of starving dogs, cats, and critters went up dramatically during COVID-19 and still has yet to go back down. We have teamed up with Stanley Dentistry and Comfort Hounds Heating and AC to put together a pet food drive through FWCAC’s No Empty Bowl Project.
The FWCAC started the No Empty Bowl Project in March 2020 after realizing the toll the pandemic was taking on pets in the area. Since its creation, the No Empty Bowl Project has helped feed hundreds of hungry pets by partnering with charitable local companies. We’re more than excited to be one of those companies helping out the pet population of Wake County!
Our pet food drive with FWCAC will begin on July 19 and end on July 29. Stanley Dentistry will be accepting non-perishable pet food donations in their lobby, located at 3731 NW Cary Parkway Suit 201 in Cary, NC, during normal business hours. Comfort Hounds Heating and AC will be accepting non-perishable pet food donations at their office location, located at 1008 Fieldgrass Place in Raleigh, NC.

We are excited to announce the dates of our Annual Spring Auction. This year's auction will be held Thursday April 22nd at 8pm to Monday April 26th at 8pm EST.
Our annual auction is run through Facebook and is our biggest fundraiser of the year. The auction helps us support our animals and their families through our low cost spay and neuter programs (Kitty Clip and Pit Stop), Heal a Heart heart-worm treatment sponsorships, No Empty Bowl Project which offers free pet food for those in need, sponsorships to help rescues pull medical/behavior training animals from the shelter and other animal needs

FWCAC is so excited to be partnering with Unleashed at Stonehenge and Johnson Subaru of Cary for a "No Empty Bowl Project" pet food drive that starts today, Oct 22 and runs through Friday, Oct 30th.
Pet needs are still very real during these challenging economic times. We have helped over 3000 pets since the start of the pandemic, and we hope to keep many more fed and in their homes.
Donors will be eligible to win a $25 Unleashed Gift Card and Sweet Ellie Photo Session.

Benefiting Friends of Wake County Animal Center, Models For Charity's Ten Year Anniversary Roaring Twenties Gala will feature a Gatsby themed celebration, DJ Supr Dupr, dancing, an awesome silent auction featuring local businesses, a "Stock Your Bar" raffle, a photo booth, delicious food from Flying Biscuit Cafe - Raleigh, and great beverages including a signature cocktail from Social House Vodka, beer from Bond Brothers Beer Company, mocktails from Killjoy and much more.

Our biggest fundraiser of the year is back! This is our 6th Annual Spring Auction held online via our Facebook Auction page. We will be teasing Auction items prior to the Auction going live, so be sure to like our page in advance, so you can scope out items you may be interested in early on!
We will have hundreds of handmade items, local gift certificates and cards, unique experiences, original art, cool pet swag, designer jewelry and handbags, photography sessions, and a lot more for you to bid on to support the animals of Wake County through our various programs!

Unleashed’s Annual Spring Fling is back.
We will have a tent at the event, so come say hello, meet some of our volunteers, and learn more about the FWCAC.
There will be pet friendly activities, local vendors, food trucks, rescue groups and animal welfare non profits, as well as lots to do for the humans!

A fundraiser album will be posted on Tuesday with items to purchase that will benefit FWCAC. Some items will be offered auction style, and other items are available for outright purchase. We ask that you honor your bids and if you have the winning bid that you pay your invoice Friday evening so all items can be shipped on Saturday!
