Hi My name is Gabriella. I love to play but sometimes I need a good cuddle sesh! I can be easily handled, although don't like to held for very long. Oh and I love people. Whenever I have guests over, I will come right up and ask to play. A fun fact about me is that I am a polydactyl, meaning I have extra toes on my front paws.

AGE:

BREED: Large Terrier Cross
SEX: Male
WEIGHT: 60 LBS
LOCATION: At The Shelter

Are you looking for another addition to your family? Do you have another dog I can play with? Then, I may be the perfect guy for you! I've done really well in playgroups, proving that I am a FRIENDLY, SILLY, PLAYFUL, FUN boy who is RESPECTFUL and appropriate with female dogs when I play with them. I love a silly romp but I also love attention, belly rubs, and CUDDLES from my people! I do well on the leash once I’ve been able to get some of my energy out. The volunteers say, I'm attentive, smart, and VERY treat motivated. I have Heartworms but they are totally treatable and Friends of Wake County Animal Center have generously donated $350 towards my treatment. If you think I would fit into your forever family, please come meet me!

Cat Of The Month: February 2019: Kelly

Meet Kelly

ID Number: #186283
Age:
5
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Sex: Female
Weight: 14 LB
Location: In Foster

Hello, my name is Kelly. I am an extremely laid back five year old spayed female. Since I am spayed, I am ready to go home today! I am currently in foster and providing emotional comfort to my foster’s grandparents. My favorite things to do are cuddling in bed, sitting on the couch with my humans while they work on a puzzle, and bird watching. I am a low energy cat and really enjoy living with senior citizens. Occasionally, I get a playful burst of energy, but for the most part I am pretty calm. All I really want to do is be near my humans. I have a very soft meow and am easy to take care of. I don't mind being brushed and I even let my foster mom trim my nails. I have never been around dogs, cats, or children, so my foster mom is not sure how I would be living with them. If you are looking for a companion who will sleep in your lap and follow you around the house, then I am the cat for you. Paws, Kelly

Kelly is currently available for adoption through the Wake County Animal Center at 820 Beacon Lake Drive, Raleigh. To view Kelly’s full bio, portfolio, or to contact her foster, please visit this link.

Meet John

ID Number: #189855
Age:
9
Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier
Sex: Male
Weight: 52 Pounds
Location: At The Shelter

Howdy folks, John here.

Pleased to meet you. As you can see I'm an older fella but don't let that fool you. I have plenty of energy and a lot of love to give. The nice volunteers say I am very calm and gentle and I walk perfectly on a leash. They also think I may be house-trained because I keep my kennel clean until they take me out for a walk. All I need now is a family to take a chance on me and take me home. I promise to be a good boy and be a faithful companion. I have heartworms but they are totally treatable and Friends of Wake County Animal Center have generously donated $500 towards my treatment. Please visit me today and see how special I am.

Big hugs,
John.
